Welcome to the Rhythm Kitchen

Offering alternative music workshops and collaborative arts projects to children and young people of all ages. The Rhythm Kitchen is committed to inspiring, motivating and encouraging children through creativity. With an emphasis on building confidence, self worth and self-expression we provide and produce workshops and projects for schools and community groups.

We would highly recommend the Rhythm Kitchen to any school, whether special or mainstream. The workshop was very interactive and lots of fun. Every child was able to participate at their own level.

The Rhythm Kitchen and Clarabella teamed up throughout the Summer months and volunteered their free time organising a children's Mini Trail as part of the 2008 Saltaire Arts Trail. As they wandered along the trail, children encountered giant interactive sculptures in the I-Spy Art area and took part in open air painting and arts workshops at the Garden of Easels. Microscopic Animal Enthusiasts take to the streets
Shipley Council and Kirkgate Studios and Workshops celebrated the unveiling of the town’s first piece of community public art, “The Shipley Shopper.” Ben, our microscopic animal enthusiast, introduced passers by to the Bradfordian pavement weevil, the lumblut chiddler and the gargantuan snazztackler.

The Rhythm Kitchen has just finished working with Groundwork Manchester facilitating a “junk drumming and rubbish rhythm making” workshop in a primary school in Stockport. The aim of the workshop was to highlight how much packaging we throw away everyday and inspire young people to reduce, reuse and recycle.
