Our creative team is made up of three freelance artists who have all had extensive experience working as music and theatre workshop facilitators. Additionally the Rhythm Kitchen works with a number of associated freelance artists on collaborative arts workshops and projects. We look for artists who are passionate and dedicated in their field and are enthusiastic about passing their knowledge onto others.

Zosia Berkieta is the Rhythm Kitchen's co-ordinator and music workshop leader. She organises all the projects and workshops run by the Rhythm Kitchen. Zosia is a teacher and musician and has been working as a freelance artist and workshop facilitator for several years. Zosia graduated from Leeds University with a BMus in music performance and her passion for world music led her onto achieving an MA in Ethnomusicology from the School of Oriental and African Studies in London (SOAS). As well as running the Rhythm Kitchen, she is employed by Education Leeds to teach "Key stage 1" and "Key stage 2" music at two primary schools in Pudsey. Zosia is also employed by Leeds Artforms to teach "Making Music" to a wide age range of children including early years.
"I have a great passion for my field and love passing this on. I set up the Rhythm Kitchen with the intention of increasing my work within local schools and the community. I wanted to create relationships with other arts professionals and collaborate on joint arts ventures with them - creating a collective of professionals with similar ideas and aspirations. I'm enthusiastic about finding new approaches to teaching and enjoying the arts."

Mimi Faulks of "Cheshire Cats" is a graduate in Arts and Education. As well as being a working musician, she is also a professional face painter. After graduating in 2000, Mimi moved to Manchester and began working with the learning team at Urbis, the centre for Urban Culture. Here she gained fantastic practical experience in devising and delivering fun and creative educational tours and workshops. Mimi's current work as a freelance artist involves her skills in theatre, music, education, and face painting. Arts establishments that she has recently worked with include Urbis, The Green Room and The Lowry.
"Multi-arts projects are so inspiring and face painting is a fantastic tool for theatre, for fun or for enhancing and bringing gallery exhibitions alive. I enjoy getting involved in unusual projects that push my creative boundaries, the more unusual the better. I like the challenge of tailor making projects that stretch myself and the art-form."
